ElkBros Blue Collar Elk Hunting

ElkBros Blue Collar Elk Hunting
The ElkBros crew is exactly what the name suggests. Four friends who work day jobs, raise kids, and then burn their vacation every September to chase bugling bulls on public land. No sponsored ranches, no outfitters, no easy button. Gilbert, Joe, Chav, and RC record from Arizona and break down the parts of elk hunting that YouTube videos tend to gloss over: how to read a canyon system at 3pm when the wind keeps swirling, why your cow call probably sounds wrong, what to actually do when a bull hangs up at eighty yards. Episodes are loose and funny, with plenty of inside jokes and arguments between the four of them, but the tactical stuff is legitimate. They have all killed their share of bulls and they teach the way a friend would teach you over a beer in the garage. Listeners who got into elk hunting through bigger-name TV personalities tend to find this one refreshing because the ElkBros sound more like your buddies than brand ambassadors. Expect long episodes during summer scouting season, shorter field recordings during the hunt, and plenty of post-season reviews where they pick apart what went wrong and what they would do differently next year. Good show to put on during a long scouting drive, and one of the few western hunting podcasts that consistently makes you laugh out loud.
